Looks like you can get a Hughes HDVR2 $199 shipped if you tell them you
are a "TiVo Community Forum" member (for existing DirecTV customers).

Haven't been able to find a better deal than this...

Plus free installation plus only $4.99 per month for the Tivo subscription. I
only wish they offered units with larger hard drives.

Well, that sucks. And here I thought I was getting a good deal.


Sooo...

It seems there are two competing points of view in regards to additional
hard drives in TiVos. Weaknees strong suggests an additional fan (as well
as a replacement fan) and a modded power cord to stagger the spin up of
the drives. 9thtee says this is all unnecessary. What do you guys think?

There's a $99 deal for a DirecTiVo being mentioned somewhere on
tivocommunity.com right now. Never fails.

With tax it came to just under $200. I ordered one and so did a friend
of mine we both got the Hughes HDVR2 a few people claim that you MAY get
an older model but, I didn't and neither did a friend of mine. I
ordered mine end of April and got it in less then a week. My friend
ordered his week before last and got it last week.


Ends Monday though so if you want it act fast.

My friend saw this on the Tivo Community.....
