OT: It's that conversation again.
Hmm, well the most expensive Washing machine I have ever seen was the ill
fated Dysan one from some years ago. that cost the company a lot of money
and bad press. it was just far too complicated and bits tended to fall off
as well as the fact it was a non standard size.

But 10 years on, that might be the going rate for a dishwasher.
When I was looking at buying a replacement washing machine a couple of
years ago, there was one in the showroom for a bit over £1000. It was a
good one, it was a Which? "Best Buy" and it came with a 10 year guarantee,
but even so I reckoned it was expensive. I didn't buy that one.
I know it wasn't a directly comparable machine because it wasn't a
dishwasher, but it does show that £840 as a price for white goods in 10
years time isn't too unrealistic.
