Default Tivo wireless adapter question

I wanted to get a wireless adapter. I'd hoped to pay less, but
according to the Tivo web site only their adapter supports WEP and WAP
and I've struck out trying to find any of the ones on their approved
list at any of the local computer stores.

Then I see that they've raised the price of the adapter to $59.95
which is a bit outrageous. Checking Amazon, they have the Tivo
wireless adapter still as list price $49.95 and are selling it for
$44.95. The model number on Amazon is AG0100. There is no model
number anywhere I can find on the Tivo web site.

I just want to make sure that these are the same adapter?

The Tivo wireless adapter comes with technical support. That may be worth a
few bucks in itself. So it is guaranteed to work if you plug it into a Tivo
and use the Tivo software. Nothing else you can find gives you that
convenience.

AG0100 is the PN on my wireless adapter. It also has the Tivo logo on it.
See if you can view a picture of it.

sorry, minor misspelling. However, since my home network is
configured that way it's only been since the new service release was
available that I'd consider moving to wireless.

Not surprising, most of them are no longer available.

Same adapter. There has only been one model of TiVo branded adapter.

That's what I needed to know. Off to Amazon.

Scott: I think they are the same. I bought a TiVo wireless adaptor
in a TiVo box from 'BestBuy' for $64.99. The model number is AG0100.

Go for it and save yourself $20!

Good luck!

This was posted a while back. But I did get it and it worked and is
working perfectly.
